This site is meant to serve as my personal profile and occasionally as a space for those of my disorganized ideas that are (hopefully) safe for public display. Language of the posts will probably oscillate between Czech and English, depending on the target audience, topic, and my mood: The purpose of the Czech articles is mostly to popularize the various topics of cognitive sciences and philosophy in my home country, i.e., to help the Czech Rep catch up with the rest of the world, which is why I came up with the idea of having a blog anyway. My mind could also from time to time produce something that could be of interest to the English-speaking world as well. So, let’s see how it develops…

for disorganized ideas, it doesn’t matter in which language you write, since no one will want to read them anyway and those who do woun’t qualified enough to provide productive feedback. Good strategy is to write in czech and then refine in english. The only problem is that you may want to publish english stuff in peer-reviewed journals rather than on blog.
What I never understood is that some people want to

What is so special about the research in the rest of the world (=anglophone world) anyway? What I see is addiction to impact factors, sloppy statistics and vanilla ideas. I always found it pity that continental europe attempts to ape the anglophone research culture without any second thought. Instead we should lead the way. We should copy the good stuff and discard the rest. Sure, science in Europe and especially in post-soviet countries has it’s own problems, but I don’t see any point in exchanging these for the anglophone malaisme.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to writing philosophy-bashing comments on your blog, so you better get yourself some reinforcements 🙂
Also, you need to change the template and the header image. Post some controversial/popular opening ideas to get attention. Or just ask Filip Tvrdy, to send you traffic 🙂

Nevím, zda to, co tu budu psát, bude na nějaké peer-revied plátky, takové ambice nemám. Ty jsi něco ze svého blogu už publikoval? Píšeš teoretické papery?
What is so special in the rest of the world? Že tam ten výzkum existuje, to je celkem značný rozdíl:-D Sám jsi na blogu psal, že výzkum na Slovensku neexistuje. No ale jak se tam má objevit, když všichni utečou a nevrátí se se svými zkušenostmi?;-) Zda můžu mít nějaký skutečný vliv na zlepšení stavu v ČR, kdo ví, zas tak dobrý a takový idealista nejsem, ale každý pokus imho dobrý.
Však já na tebe myslel, když jsem psal ty řádky o filosofii!.-) Těším se!
Jo, web je under construction. Nad obrázkem usilovně přemýšlím a není to lehké na něco vhodného přijít, ale template, nevím nevím, tenhle se mi zatím docela líbí.. od tebe se už teď odlišuju tím, že jsem zmenšil okraje:-)
(Btw, ty by sis zase mohl dát do pravého panelu tagy/kategorie, špatně se u tebe vyhledává podle témat.. A komentáře, takže ti napíšu aspoň sem, že mě mrzí že jsi zlomil hůl nad ČS čtenáři a hibernoval, ale chápu to a těším se na nové počiny.)
Jak získat pozornost – zatím nevím, zda je ten web v dostatečném stavu, abych vůbec chtěl pozornost, ale plánuju sem hodit něco z Existential Comics pro začátek, však víš, trochu filosofie;-)
